A built-up metal stud column is anchored to a concrete slab on grade using continuous bottom tracks and Simpson SSC4.25 clips secured with three-eighths inch diameter by four-and-a-half-inch Titen HD anchors. The column consists of three vertical studs matching typical wall studs and two typical tracks fastened with eight number ten self-tapping screws at twelve inches on center. Typical wall studs frame into the assembly, and five number ten screws connect the tracks to the studs on each side.
