The assembly features a forty-eight inch high guardrail surrounding a twenty-six by thirty-inch Type GS roof hatch manufactured by Bilco or approved equal, installed per manufacturer specifications. A ladder safety post or ladder safety system is installed at the top. The steel ladder utilizes three-quarter inch diameter minimum steel rods spaced at twelve inches on center typical, anchored to the concrete tilt-up wall using three-eighths by three-inch steel bars welded to ladder epoxy anchors with three-eighths inch diameter long bolts. A safety cage is provided, along with one and one-half inch standard pipe guardrails and guardrail posts. Intermediate landings feature checker plate landings with nine five-eighths inch expansion anchors and steel braces welded to angles of the landing, ladder, and wall. The base of the ladder connects to a three by three by one-quarter inch steel angle welded to the bar and anchored to the floor.
