A two-inch maximum diameter PVC pipe penetrates a partition per plan through an optional four-inch minimum diameter steel sleeve. An annular space ranging from one-quarter inch minimum to one and three-quarters inch maximum surrounds the pipe. Firestopping sealant is applied within the annulus, flush with each end of the sleeve at five-eighths inch depth for a one-hour fire rating, complying with UL Listing W-L-2075.
