A metal guardrail and handrail assembly is anchored to a structural landing channel at a stair landing. The guardrail extends vertically from the channel to a height of three feet six inches, while the separate handrail mounts via a bracket at three feet above the tread level. A metal angle supports the tread assembly adjacent to the landing channel.
