A continuous twenty-two gauge minimum three-inch deep leg deflection track is attached to the fluted steel deck at twelve inches on center maximum. Mineral wool insulation and sealant fill the joint above the partition. Gypsum board is secured using a continuous two-inch wide by twenty-two gauge metal strap for top attachment, leaving the studs left unwelded and unattached to the deflection track within the specified clearance zone.
