A one-inch two-piece plaster expansion screed is installed at control joints over both a concrete or concrete masonry unit wall and a metal stud wall with exterior gypsum board. The metal lath and weather-resistant barrier are detailed to overlap the expansion screed flange and extend twelve inches above the control joint where required. Butt joints are set in a bed of sealant and secured with the manufacturer's clip, and the assembly is painted to match the adjacent plaster wall.
