An OSHA-compliant stair handrail and guardrail assembly consisting of one-and-a-half-inch diameter galvanized steel pipe members mounted to a stair tread and landing. The guardrail extends forty-two inches above the walking surface with intermediate rails spaced equally, maintaining a maximum four-inch sphere opening. The handrail is mounted thirty-four inches above the tread nosing on a structural support bracket with a minimum one-and-a-half-inch clearance.
