A deep W24 beam frames into a shallow W27 girder via a vertical shear plate fastened with eight A325 bolts. Six bolts secure the plate to the web of the W24 beam, while two bolts fasten the plate to the web of the W27 girder. The top and bottom flanges of the W24 beam are cope-cut to match the lower profile of the W27 girder.
