This wall detail features back-to-back J-runners tied together in a gypsum shaft wall partition assembly. One side of the framing receives one-inch thick gypsum board liner panels type X, while the opposing side is finished with two layers of five-eighths-inch thick gypsum board type X fastened at the bottom of the J-runner.
