An elevator door threshold sits at the face of the floor slab above a structural steel beam wrapped in fireproofing. A three-eighths-inch-thick steel embed plate anchors into the edge of the concrete slab. A metal angle with three-eighths-inch stiffeners spaced at twenty-four inches on center welds to the steel embed plate. The face of the assembly aligns with the face of the shaft opening and pit dimension. A variable two-inch vertical dimension allows for adjustment per the elevator manufacturer requirements.
