An eight-inch wide reinforced cast-in-place concrete wainscot wall runs adjacent to a pre-engineered metal building moment frame. A designed gap between the structural frame and the concrete wainscot accommodates lateral motion of the metal building without imparting damage to the concrete wall. This gap dimension is provided after the selection of the pre-engineered metal building manufacturer and in accordance with the engineer's direction.
