The glass guardrail assembly features a two-and-a-half-inch diameter stainless steel top rail and G-15 glass panel secured by a stainless steel wrapped shoe. The shoe is mounted to a hollow structural section member at the edge of the concrete floor slab, which is finished per the finish floor plan. A half-inch continuous sealant bead is applied to each side of the glass base. The floor assembly includes a precast slab, a bent plate, and a structural beam. Below the floor level, the wall construction consists of five-eighths-inch gypsum board on three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs, with wall covering installed to the gypsum board.
