A scheduled aluminum transition strip bridges the joint between scheduled carpet on one side and scheduled floor tile set in thin set mortar over a crack suppression membrane on the other, all bearing on a concrete floor slab. Feather cement fill provides a slope up to a maximum of one percent to match heights where needed. The centerline of the transition aligns with the centerline of any corresponding door or opening, and adjacent doors are undercut as required to clear the transition assembly.
