The hollow metal door frame is anchored to the adjacent wall framing with scheduled frame anchors per the manufacturer. The jamb framing consists of two eighteen-gauge metal studs mechanically fastened together typically. A sound attenuation blanket fills the wall cavity where specified. Layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board over metal stud framing finish the wall on both sides, receiving paint. Scheduled thinset tile is applied where indicated on the drawings. Continuous joint sealant is applied at the interface between the hollow metal frame and the wall finish.
