This wall assembly consists of 6-inch cold-formed metal stud framing with stud spacing sized per structural drawings. Sound attenuation batt insulation fills the cavity between the studs. Layers of 5/8-inch Type-X gypsum wall board are fastened to both sides of the framing to achieve a 1-hour fire rating. Wall finishes are applied to the exterior gypsum board faces as specified in the finish schedule.
