An ASCE 30-pound crane rail bears on a continuous rail pad resting atop a crane runway beam, which is sized per plan and mirrored at the roof level. Rail clips secure the rail flanges to the beam top flange. The rail clip bases are welded directly to the structural steel beam in accordance with the manufacturer instructions.
