This structural connection detail shows a curved steel beam framing into a supporting wide flange beam. The connection utilizes a three-bolt shear plate welded to the web of the supporting member. A three-eighths-inch full-depth stiffener plate is provided on the opposite side of the web to reinforce the support. Shear plates, bolts, and welding requirements are referenced to detail 1 on sheet S6.20.
