A plastic pipe passes through a sleeved opening in a concrete or masonry wall with a maximum 2-hour fire rating per UL system C-AJ-2001. The annular space contains fiberglass insulation as scheduled with overlap as required by the rated assembly, secured by wire ties and hose clamps. Intumescent wrap strips and a pipe collar attach directly to the wall surface as dictated by the rated assembly requirements. Fire rated sealant is applied at the perimeter junctions on both faces of the wall. Cement mortar patches around the sleeve within the masonry wall construction.
