A steel stair railing transition assembly at a stair landing consists of 1-1/4 inch nominal diameter steel pipe horizontal railings, handrails, and vertical posts. The vertical posts are supported by 5/8 inch diameter steel bar support brackets located at each post. A minimum 3/8 inch steel plate spans between the steel stringers at stair landings. All stair railing connections and intersections are welded and ground smooth.
