A stepped joint connects two insulated concrete sandwich panels. The assembly incorporates rigid insulation sized per COMcheck requirements and structural synthetic fibers specified per general structural notes. A backer rod and two-part polyurethane elastomeric sealant seal the joint; the sealant must fully cure before priming and painting to match the concrete panels. Panel connectors are provided per the manufacturer, and reinforcing steel is installed according to the structural engineer's specifications.
