A one-and-a-half-inch diameter galvanized steel rail mounts to a wall or post via one-and-a-half-inch square vertical supports and metal brackets spaced at five feet on center with welded connections. The handrail maintains a two-and-eleven-inch clearance above the stair nosing or landing and provides a one-and-a-half-inch clearance from the wall face. At terminal ends, the handrail returns back to the wall or post. The centerline of the rail sits two and a quarter inches from the wall surface.
