This exterior wall assembly consists of a horizontal wood rain screen attached to metal furring with continuous metal angles mounted to slotted metal clip angles. A one-inch air space separates the cladding from two inches of rigid insulation installed between vertical furring over a fluid-applied weather barrier and one-half-inch exterior sheathing. The structural backup uses metal studs sized per structural drawings, filled with batt insulation and backed by a vapor barrier. The interior side is finished with materials as scheduled.
