This roof expansion joint assembly is centered between dual parapet walls and spanned by a Sika Wabo roof expansion joint cover. The roofing membrane extends up and over the top of the parapet wall, secured with staggered fasteners at a maximum of twelve inches on center into treated wood nailers. A flexible vapor retarder, compressible insulation, and firesafing fill the joint cavity below. Exterior faces are clad with one-half-inch exterior cement board fastened with a termination bar spaced at six inches on center. A sheet metal two-piece reglet and counterflashing system with gasketed fasteners at twelve inches on center protects the vertical joint terminations, leaving a minimum vertical clearance of zero feet ten inches above the roof system.
