A metal stud joist bears against a concrete panel using an 8" x 2" x 18 gauge track secured with two rows of powder-driven pins spaced at 12" on center. The track is anchored using Simpson 'PDP' pins or approved equal featuring a 0.145" diameter shank and 1 1/4" minimum embedment with required washers. The floor assembly consists of 1/2" plywood sheathing over metal stud joists with mineral wool insulation at the rated enclosure, and two layers of 5/8" Type X gypsum board forming the ceiling below.
