This millwork section details a reception desk assembly featuring a solid surface countertop over a three-quarter inch plywood substrate. The work surface is set at an elevation of two feet six inches above finished floor, with an upper transaction counter surface reaching three feet one inch above finished floor. The vertical assembly incorporates continuous three-quarter inch wood blocking, three-quarter inch stiffeners as required, and plastic laminate and metal laminate surface finishes. An electrical dual compartment wiremold and conduit are integrated into the upper counter assembly. The base of the millwork features an aluminum base trim.
