A reinforced waterproof membrane is adhered to the substrate using bonding adhesive and secured along its upper edge with a metal termination bar and mechanical fasteners. Water cut-off mastic is applied beneath the termination bar, and a surface bead of sealant seals the joint against moisture infiltration. Metal counterflashing is installed over the termination per the manufacturer instructions.
