A 1 1/2-inch outer diameter painted steel pipe handrail is supported by a 3/8-inch painted bar stock bracket. The bracket connects to a 3-inch diameter by 1/4-inch mounting plate secured with four 1/4-inch flathead screws with countersunk holes. The assembly anchors into 2x wood blocking concealed behind the wall finish. The handrail maintains a 1 1/2-inch clearance from the wall surface and a 3/4-inch minimum vertical clearance from the bracket connection.
