A 1/2-inch diameter by 18-inch long cane bolt with a 3-inch handle drops into a concrete slab to secure a gate. The bolt is guided by a 2-inch bent angle welded to the frame, providing a minimum 3/4-inch interior clearance for the bolt. A top 2-inch by 2-inch by 1/8-inch steel angle is welded to the 2-inch steel gate frame, featuring a 1/2-inch diameter half cut at the top of the angle to hold the cane bolt. The gate frame consists of angle iron or tubular steel. All steel bolts, angles, and related components are to be painted to match the building field color unless otherwise noted.
