A sixty mil TPO membrane runs horizontally across the roof and turns up the vertical face of a factory prefabricated curb, secured with a specified termination bar and fastener. The TPO membrane is hot-air welded at the seams and transitions over a flashing membrane, which is adhered to wood blocking or rigid insulation board. A twenty-four gauge galvanized iron counterflashing insert with sealant on the backside laps over the flashing, secured with appropriate fasteners at twelve inches on center. The curb rests on a metal roof deck with fill foam insulation in the flutes, bearing on a structural steel angle. The assembly maintains an eight-inch minimum vertical rise with a four-inch minimum counterflashing overlap.
