An aluminum or metal door threshold plate is surface-mounted to a concrete slab and secured with anchors. The closed door bottom aligns above the threshold with specified vertical clearances, including a maximum one-half inch overall height and a maximum one-quarter inch step at the interior finish floor. The threshold bridges the transition between exterior and interior conditions, with adjacent flooring materials indicated by finish floor tags.
