A one-and-one-quarter-inch steel pipe post stands at a total height of three feet six inches above the landing. The post bolts directly to the web of an MC12 by 10.6 steel channel landing stringer. A two-by-two-by-three-eighths-inch structural angle provides typical support at the landing connection. The entire assembly receives a hot-dip galvanized finish after fabrication.
