A concrete walk with a thickened edge meets a concrete curb over natural grade with aggregate base and asphaltic concrete layers. A half-inch expansion joint separates the walk and curb assembly. The concrete edges are tooled with a half-inch radius. Walk thickness and curb dimensions are coordinated per civil plans.
