A pre-engineered insulated metal curb is anchored over treated wood blocking within a typical roof assembly comprising polyisocyanurate foam insulation and a thermoplastic membrane flashing. The curb is sized to accommodate anticipated piping and conduit penetrations, maintaining a minimum two-inch clearance between penetrations. Voids around and between the pipes and conduit are filled with insulation, and metal counter flashing protects the curb top. A penetration vault housing fits over the curb assembly.
