This non-rated acoustical partition consists of two parallel rows of metal studs separated by a one-inch minimum clear space without rigid cross bracing. Each stud row receives lateral stud bracing as required. The framing is finished on each side with one layer of one-half-inch plywood wall panels and one layer of gypsum board. Acoustical insulation fills the stud cavities to improve sound attenuation.
