A four-foot-diameter circular concrete pier is reinforced with a ring of vertical steel bars and interior ties. A grid of reinforcing dowels passes through and around the pier foundation, maintaining a three-inch clear cover to the concrete face. Additional hook ties are placed within the core as indicated by typical notes. The assembly is positioned at structural grid intersections E, F, G, and H with a minimum six-inch extension clearance.
