Two base connection options for interior partitions meeting a concrete slab on grade. The first option features a built-up cold-formed steel stud column composed of three vertical studs matching the typical wall stud with two typical tracks, fastened using eight number 10 self-tapping screws at 12 inches on center. This built-up assembly bears on a continuous bottom track secured with Simpson SSC4.25 connectors fastened to the slab using 3/8-inch diameter by 4-1/2-inch Titen HD anchors and five number 10 screws to the studs on each side. The second option features a structural steel column bearing on a 1/2-inch steel base plate over a 1-1/2-inch layer of non-shrink grout. The base plate is anchored to the concrete slab on grade with four 5/8-inch diameter by 6-inch Titen HD anchors.
