A twenty-gauge one-and-a-half by one-and-a-half-inch continuous wall angle secures the perimeter of the suspended ceiling framing. Each stud connects to the wall angle using a number ten self-tapping screw. A hanger wire supports the main runner at a maximum distance of eight inches from the wall. A saddle tie attaches the runner to the main runner with number eighteen wire, positioned a maximum of six inches from each side.
