A continuous concrete curb featuring a steel troweled finish and tooled 1/2-inch radius edges bears on natural grade with an 18-inch minimum aggregate base. The curb transitions between a finish grade of 1 inch at sod and 1 1/2 inches at ground cover on one side, and an asphalt concrete or concrete pavement section on the other. A 1-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC weephole is provided at 8 feet 0 inches on center, sloped at a minimum of 1 inch down from the back of the curb with a 1/3 cubic foot rock pit. Expansion joints are required at 16 feet 0 inches on center maximum, curve tangents, and corners. The back of the curb must be finished a minimum of 3 inches down from the top.
