A ballasted assembly transitions between a paver surface on pedestals and a three-inch river rock zone. The build-up includes a drainage course, a protection course, waterproofing membrane WPS-05, and insulation layer INS-08. A metal edge partition separates the paver system from the adjacent ballast. Hollow structural section column and beam framing supports the assembly below, with weather-tight seal welds specified at structural connections.
