A top track is secured to the overhead concrete structure using concrete anchors. Scheduled metal framing with ceiling joists forms the drop soffit, supported laterally by diagonal bracing installed at a maximum forty-five-degree angle per framing notes. Continuous metal angles stabilize the gypsum board edges, and typical corner beads finish the exterior corners.
