A splayed seismic bracing wire connects to the structure above via a steel strap measuring 1 inch wide by 2 inches long and 12 gauge minimum, bent to align with the wire. The strap is secured to the structure above with a 5/16 inch diameter minimum drill-in expansion anchor. The splayed seismic bracing wire features four tight turns in 1 1/2 inches, oriented at a maximum 45 degree angle. The suspended ceiling bracing assembly complies with DSA IR 25-2.13, ASTM C-635, and ASTM C-636.
