This two-hour fire-rated exterior wall assembly consists of metal studs framed with one layer of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board on the exterior side and two layers of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board on the interior side. The exterior layers include a fluid-applied water-resistive barrier system, rigid insulation, a water-resistive barrier system, and cement plaster over lath. Cavity insulation is installed between the metal studs where specified. The overall wall thickness measures 10-3/4 inches.
