This fire-rated wall joint detail features a cold-formed steel deflection track terminating below a concrete-filled metal deck with a one-half-inch gap. The gap between the top of the deflection track and the metal deck is filled with mineral wool insulation and sealed with fire sealant on both sides. The wall assembly consists of an acoustical double wall with acoustic batt insulation and acoustic sealant applied at the perimeter joints.
