The stair assembly features concrete-filled steel pan treads supported by a twelve-inch steel channel stringer secured with an L 4 x 4 x 1/4 angle clip and expansion bolts anchored into the concrete slab. An embedded two-inch wide contrasting strip by Balco Inc type R-300 or approved equal is installed at the tread nosing. A one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe wall rail is mounted with wall brackets spaced at forty-eight inches on center, terminating with a three-sixteenth-inch closure plate. All structural steel is shop primed and welds are uniform and smooth to meet Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel category two standards.
