This interior millwork detail shows a four-inch integral recessed toe kick for base cabinet doors or drawers. A continuous sixteen-gauge bent sheet metal Z-shaped bracket is attached to each door with two rows of number ten by one-half-inch wood screws spaced at four inches on center maximum. Two-by-four wood blocking is installed at ends and forty-eight inches on center maximum, centered on each piece of the integral toe-kick. The toe-kick features a finish to match the casework face.
