A pipe penetrates the roof assembly through a pre-molded pipe flashing boot. The base flange of the flashing attaches to the roof deck with fasteners and plates spaced at a maximum of 12 inches on center. A hot air weld applied to the membrane extends a minimum of 1 1/2 inches beyond the fastening plates to ensure a watertight seal. Water cut-off mastic seals the top of the flashing boot against the pipe, secured by a stainless steel clamping ring. Fall protection systems must utilize the pre-molded pipe flashing in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.
