This stair assembly features galvanized steel grating treads and landings with closed risers, supported by galvanized steel channel stringers and galvanized steel pipe supports. A guardrail composed of one-half-inch galvanized steel pickets and one-and-a-half-inch galvanized steel rails is mounted to the structure. A one-and-a-half-inch galvanized steel handrail is attached to the guardrail at a height of three feet, with a maximum actual diameter not to exceed one and a half inches. Clear openings between pickets and between the rail and stringer must be less than four inches. Grade must be verified at each stair with the number of treads and risers adjusted as required, maintaining a maximum seven-inch riser.
