A wide flange beam connects to a wide flange girder or another wide flange beam utilizing welded flange connections and bolted web plates. Two half-inch stiffener plates are welded to the supporting member web with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld on three sides. Continuity plate thickness matches the thickness of the beam flange plus one-quarter inch. Special end conditions are detailed for when dimension X is less than or equal to three inches versus greater than three inches.
