An aluminum storefront head profile ties into the building exterior wall assembly directly beneath cold-formed metal framing. A sheet-applied weather-resistive barrier and exterior insulation back the wall, transitioning to a fastened aluminum flashing above the storefront profile. A sealant joint with backer rod seals the interface between the head member and the metal panel assembly. The glazing unit features laminated low-iron vision glass installed within the aluminum framing members.
