Head-of-wall attachment for interior partitions beneath a post-tensioned concrete slab. A deflection track receives the top track of the partition, allowing vertical movement of the slab above. Attachment is made directly to the concrete slab using one-eighth-inch diameter powder-actuated fasteners spaced at twelve inches on center. Alternatively, connections to formed metal deck conditions utilize six-inch by fourteen-gauge plates spanning two flutes minimum, secured with two three-sixteenth-inch anchors per side. Partitions are installed per the architectural schedule.
